In the financial services industry it is rare someone will take the time to invest in your career.  John invested in my career being an advisor alongside me.  I remember when I first started, and I had ideas about everything, mostly wrong.  I went into a business planning meeting with John and instead of telling me precisely how I as wrong he told me understood exactly where I was coming from being a new advisor.  He then helped me clear the initial hurdles I needed to clear so that I could then see the bigger pictures.  I had to put in the work, and be accountable but I had back up.  The best part is whenever I want to refine my practice, I know I have more than a sounding board to do so.
